Steve Moak currently is in the lead in the Arizona CD 3 race to replace John Shadegg so instead of debating the issues, other candidates are spreading lies. Are the other candidates incapable of presenting a positive plan for Arizona and America? If not, stick to the issues - the economy, job creation, illegal immigration. Voters want to hear candidates’ positions on real problems, not distortions and lies about their opponents. Negative ads are one thing, outright lies are another.
Below is a message regarding notMYkid from someone who knows the program first hand:
Hello,
This is Kati, and I’m writing with the truth about NotMyKid — a charity that was created by Congressional candidate Steve Moak.NotMyKid is amazing. I grew up in a strong Christian household. But in high school, I battled an eating disorder. By the time I got to college, I was abusing drugs. My mom heard about notMYkid, and it has literally changed mylife.
Today, I’m clean and sober, and I’ve seen the incredible work of Steve Moak and his wife, Debbie. They’ve help thousands of kids in Arizona — and across the country — including me.
Steve Moak’s opponents are trashing notMYkid with lies and hate mail right now. Please don’t believe what they’re saying. notMYkid is a life-saver, and shame on the other candidates for trying to tear it down.
Arizona Republicans are fortunate to have so many great candidates to choose from statewide. Let’s stay focused on issues and real solutions so we achieve our ultimate goal of defeating Arizona Democrats to take back the Senate, House, and America.
Mort Zuckerman is no right winger, but even Mr. Zuckerman realizes that Obama views American businesses as the enemy:
What is the Obama administration’s theme? ”Can we make the economy worse? YES, WE CAN!”
How does Obama plan on destroying the American economy ,thereby driving unemployment ever higher? By regulating and taxing businesses into oblivion. Legislation passed by career Democrat politicians is not only bankrupting businesses, but also creating so much uncertainty and financial instability that businesses are afraid to hire and unable to borrow. Americans want jobs, not more unemployment benefits! The first step to turning the economy around is to lower taxes and repeal Obamacare.
Obama’s disdain for business is evident by his Supreme Court nominee , Elena Kagan. The woman is a one-man business wrecking crew who believes businesses have, basically, no legal rights:
While Congress is claiming it wants to help small business, confirming Kagan could mean great harm to business owners crippled by costly regulation. Based on her writings and her arguments as Obama’s solicitor general (which is all we have to go on, since she has never served on the bench), not only is Kagan likely to rule against constitutional challenges to Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, and other onerous laws, but she is also likely to do what she can to make it nearly impossible for smaller “regulated firms,” as she calls them, to have their day in court in the first place.
Yet in preparing legal briefs for the Obama administration, Kagan effectively argued that small businesses that object to a particular law or regulation as unconstitutional should be held hostage to the administrative-review process of the agency responsible for enforcing that law or regulation. According to Kagan, “regulated firms” should have no standing to bring a constitutional claim to federal courts until they “exhaust” every remedy at the regulatory agency.
Kagan’s prescription would be an unaffordable option for the vast majority of small businesses, as they could spend years in the exhausting “exhaustion” process before they could seek relief in court. This radically restrictive view of legal standing to challenge agency authority has been rejected by Democratic-appointed judges in federal courts and was given a stinging rebuke late last month by the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark case Free Enterprise Fund v. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
What Kagan essentially was saying was that a small business cannot challenge a regulation in court, no matter the reason and no matter the impact on its bottom line, until the government agency has taken its own sweet time — whether that is months or years — reviewing the challenge.
But wait! It only gets better:
No problem, says Kagan’s brief: All a business has to do is simply break the law.
What universe does this woman live in?
Happily, we have Chief Justice Roberts to slap down this nonsense:
Fortunately, the Supreme Court wasn’t comfortable with Kagan’s proposition that a firm needs to break laws in order to get access to justice. Noting that Beckstead & Watts would face “severe punishment should its challenge fail,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote dryly in the June 28 opinion, “We normally do not require plaintiffs to bet the farm by taking the violative action before testing the validity of the law, . . . and we do not consider this a meaningful avenue of relief.”
Kagan should be grilled on her anti-business views, but the Republican Senators are giving this nominee a pass. We need Senators and Representatives with real life experiences, not more career politicians who just go along to get along. The four Republican candidates below would all bring records of a strong work ethic, common sense, and personal accomplishments to their jobs. We can’t rely on the Supreme Court to fix bad legislation. We must elect legislators interested in serving America, not just getting a cushy Congressional job. The four Republicans below – Tim Scott, Ron Johnson, Michael Faulkner, and Steve Moak -are some of the cream of the crop running nationwide . I hope you will check out their positions, as well as, their expertise.

Steve Moak is running to replace retiring Representative John Shadegg in Arizona CD3. I support Steve became he is a pro-life, conservative Christian who also happens to be a successful businessman.
You can read Steve’s positions @ http://moakforcongress.com so I want to tell you about an endorsement Steve received at a community meeting last Saturday afternoon.
A woman told her story of having to leave an abusive husband although she was both unemployed and broke. This woman got a job at Steve’s company, ProMark One. Not only did that job allow her to turn her life around, but she also became a van driver for half-way houses. Through this woman’s job as a driver, she has come in contact with many people that Steve and Debbie Moak have helped through their non-profit drug program, notMYkid. This woman came to the community meeting not only to thank Steve and Debbie, but also to endorse Steve for Arizona Representative. I don’t believe a candidate can get a more compelling endorsement.
Apparently the Senators have heard that Obama plans to bypass Congress and misuse his presidential authority to grant blanket amnesty to all illegals here in the US. Seven Senators have sent a letter to President Obama warning him not to act in this criminal manner – my interpretation, not the Senators. The Senators better be prepared to do more than letter writing if they plan on actually stopping this rogue president. Obama thinks he is not only above the law, Obama thinks he is the law!
Obama uses American lives and national security for his political gain, attempting to force “his” unpopular immigration policies on the American public by allowing drug cartels, murderers, kidnappers, etc to flood into Arizona through uncontrolled borders. Selling out Americans, using lawlessness and intimidation has always been the Democratic plan to win passage of their misnamed “immigration reform” plan in order to have more reliant voters whose votes Democrats can buy.
To understand the magnitude of the problem Arizona, really America, is facing you need to be aware that parts of Arizona are no longer safe for Americans to visit. The desert area pictured below is not out in the boondocks, it is close to the city of Casa Grande. This is dangerous situation is the direct result of Obama’s strong arm tactics. No go zones in Arizona? Thanks, Obama!
Environmentalism is a religion based on lies and propaganda. The leaders are hypocrites jetting around the world to preach to the common folk how to consume less, presumably so they can consume more! Unfortunately for two elite environmentalists, Leonardo DiCaprio and Laurie David, parents in the Omaha School District complained about a video and book being used as curriculum. The parents were able to have the environmental propaganda pulled because of inaccuracies and false information.
In order to contrive a visual representation for their false central claim that CO2 controls temperature change, David and co-author Cambria Gordon present unsuspecting children with an altered temperature and CO2 graph that falsely reverses the relationship found in the scientific literature.
The actual temperature curve in the chart was switched with the actual CO2 curve. That is, the authors mislabelled the blue curve as temperature and mislabelled the red curve as CO2 concentration. The real data show that the red curve represents the temperature changes over geological time, followed (lagged) by changes in CO2 concentrations represented by the blue curve. Thus, children tracing the properly labelled curves from right to left (from past to present) can easily see the real, science-based relationship (particularly clear in the interval between 500,000 and 150,000 years ago).
The David-Gordon manipulation is critical because the central premise of the book argues that CO2 drives temperature, yet the ice core data clearly reveal temperature increases generally precede increasing CO2 by several hundred to a few thousand years. This fact may have been too inconvenient for David, who instead presented young readers with an astoundingly irresponsible falsehood. Parents and teachers of these children should be concerned.
DiCaprio’s video:
In the video, DiCaprio attributes global warming to mankind’s “destructive addiction” to oil. He says “big corporations” and politicians gained too much money and power “on our addiction,” making them “dangerously resistant to change.”

It’s always encouraging to see parents fighting and winning!
There is so much interesting scientific information at wattsupwiththat.com refuting global warming. Happily the information is provided by actual scientists, based on research as opposed to lies spread by the “stars”. You can read the rest of this article here. You might want to check out some of the other articles while you’re at it.
Former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson may have been born a curmudgeon, at least he has the personality traits down pat. Personally, I would never want to debate Senator Simpson unless I had memorized all relevant facts supporting my position. I would never have the courage to debate Senator Simpson, or anyone else for that matter, as Alex Lawson recently did if I didn’t have even a basic understanding of the facts. To his credit, Alex Lawson remained polite and unflappable as Senator Simpson becomes increasingly angry trying to explain Social Security insolvency.
ALAN SIMPSON: We’re really working on solvency… the key is solvency
ALEX LAWSON: What about adequacy? Are you focusing on adequacy as well?
SIMPSON: Where do you come up with all the crap you come up with?
SIMPSON: We’re trying to take care of the lesser people in society and do that in a way without getting into all the flash words you love dig up, like cutting Social Security, which is bullshit. We’re not cutting anything, we’re trying to make it solvent.
SIMPSON: It’ll go broke in the year 2037.
LAWSON: What do you mean by ‘broke’? Do you mean the surplus will go out and then it will only be able to pay 75% of its benefits?
SIMPSON: Just listen, will you listen to me instead of babbling? In the year 2037, instead of getting 100% of your check, you are going to get about 75% of your check. That’s if you touch nothing. If you like that, fine. You’ll be picking with the chickens yourself when you’re 65.
I have to ask, how is is possible that Mr. Lawson isn’t aware that Social Security is going “broke”? What is Mr. Lawson’s definition of ”broke”?
LAWSON: But what about the $180 billion in surplus that it brings in every year?
SIMPSON: There is no surplus in there. It’s a bunch of IOUs.
According to Senator Simpson 2.5 TRILLION in IOUS to be exact.
LAWSON: Which is how the system was setup, that the current generation funds the retirees.
SIMPSON: When I was your age there were 16 people paying into the system and 1 taking out and today there are 3 people paying into the system and 1 taking out.
LAWSON: But isn’t that the good news.
SIMPSON: And in 15 years there will be 2 people paying in, what’s good news about that?
LAWSON: Didn’t they plan for that, which is why they’ve been…
SIMPSON: Of course not because they thought … the retirement … they that you would die at 57 and that’s why they set the date at 65. If you can’t get through this stuff, then why do you spread this crap. The thing was setup when the life expectancy was 57 years and that’s why they set 65 as the retirement date. Now the life expectancy is 78, whatever it is, and so we have to adjust that and make it work for the future people like you in the United States.
I understand Mr. Lawson might have been unaware of the decrease from 16:1 to 3-2:1 of workers supporting retirees; however, after Mr. Lawson is informed of this fact, why does he think fewer workers per retirees is good?
LAWSON: Well, it’s actually the government and the citizens, right? The government doesn’t actually own the bonds, it’s the government owing…
SIMPSON: Let me say things in a way so your fans will understand this, so you can go and be a hero. There is not enough in the system by the month to pay in, to pay out what comes in. In other words, there is more going out, than coming in. That happened 3 or 4 weeks ago. So, what do they do? They go to that trust fund and say, ‘We need the IOUs out of it.’ And they say, ‘You can have them, but you have to pay for them.’ So you’re taking a double hit on your own government. Makes no sense. The government goes and says, ‘Hey, here’s that 2.5 trillion IOUs, now we need some money out of that system because we haven’t got enough to pay this month.’ And they say, ‘Great.’ So the government gets a double hit.
Facts are stubborn things and Senator Simpson makes good use of them.
